Prainha Loft Apartment

The apartment was very well equipped. It was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. It was perfect for us, as the loft area was great, giving our older teen some space of her own. Staff at check in were very nice and helpful. The apartment is in a lovely area, just outside Alvor. The beach here is beautiful.

You need to travel into nearby Portimao, to check in and pick up your keys. This is not a big problem but just something to be aware of.

The location of the apartment was good and near the complex where we were meeting the rest of our group. It was clean and comfortable apartment apart from the points below. We loved the amount of kitchen equipment and crockery available to use as we like to cook ourselves and all was clean and in good working order. However, some of the knives needs sharpening and the corkscrew was sellotaped but still difficult to use, so a new one could be provided.

To collect the keys, we had to go to Portimao, 9 mins drive away with our suitcases which cost more money in a taxi there and back as we didn't have a car. The apartment was fine but there were no bulbs in the open plan bedroom upstairs, the bed was very creaky as were the top 2 wooden stairs, meaning the people downstairs were kept awake when the person staying upstairs moved around. The door on the bedroom downstairs opened and closed throughout the night as it didn't click shut properly and was affected by the air conditioning/open window when it was warm. We struggled to get our cases up the stairs to the apartment we were allocated which was on the top floor of the building as there was no lift, though a lift was mentioned in the paperwork beforehand. We were advised that we should collect the passes for the Swimming Pool 3 days after we had arrived, which meant another journey to the office to collect them. They should have been given to us when we collected the keys, or delivered to the apartment.

A localização era excelente, o facto de o alojamento ter um supermercado e restaurante foi muito agradável.

A limpeza no exterior do apartamento, escadas e acessos. A dificuldade em encontrar lugares de estacionamento junto do mesmo. Existe um estacionamento subterrâneo, mas estava fechado.
