The property was spotless, the bedrooms were all a very size as were all the rooms and the kids loved the games room, The owners had thought of everything from gummies for the kids to treats for the dog. It’s all the little touches that count and the Prosecco and the apple crumble slices were a lovely touch.

A beautiful cottage renovated to a high standard. Lots of thoughtful touches, the games room is great, it’s really cosy and well equipped in a beautiful village.

The house was beyond beautiful. The pool table enabled my dad to reconnect with his grandchildren and feel included in the activities. There was no need to watch television as the games available were so mixed that we all had something to play that suited everyone.

It was immaculate, warm and cosy and very clean. There were plenty of towels and a very well equipped kitchen. Perfect!

Nothing we didn’t like

Absolutely everything, the property itself is so interesting. So many original features, it’s just stunning. Joanne and Stephen made our trip so special for Christmas! Little touches such as a very lovely present for my little sister who is 9. Mince pies left out for us, plus chocolates and Christmas cake! We had the most wonderful trip as a family! Very cosy and the surrounding area is stunning. The local people are honestly great also, we had a bust tire and a neighbour came across and offered us tools, as well as the host calling a local garage for us. This staycation is worth its weight in gold! The games cupboard and the pool room were very impressive, the bath was stunning, we just loved it! Thank you. Shannon & family. ❤️

I loved how the Joanne and Stephen had made the house look so welcoming and festive - it was such a pleasure to walk into such a beautiful house. I can't thank them enough for such a wonderful welcome.

Leaving to go home.

This cottage has to be one of the nicest cottages we’ve stayed in. Such a cozy feel, but also very spacious and welcoming. The games room is fantastic. The location is picture perfect with great local walks, nice places to eat and drink and a park for the children. We’ve absolutely loved staying at Rowel House and would highly recommend x

There was nothing to not like about this property or its location. We had a great little break away and would love to return one day.

A great, well equipped holiday house in a fantastic location. Full of character and charm. Very comfortable beds and everything immaculate. Fantastic walks from the doorstep and right in the heart of the village. Pool table and games a real bonus. Plenty of space for everyone and all instructions by hosts easy to follow. We would definitely return.

Sitting room is a bit colder than the rest of the house but we could have always turned the thermostat up more, and blankets are provided by the hosts. Probably wonderfully cool in the summer!
