Tsuru Villa

Amazing stay at Tsuru Villa! I cannot recommend this place enough, this secluded hotel provides beautiful views and stunning rooms. Our host Sameera went above and beyond to make our stay special and we didn’t want to leave this place! As the villa is fairly remote, we opted to eat at the property and the food was so delicious.

We had an amazing time here at Tsuru Villa. The location is very nice and very good for bird watching. We got to see so many species of lake birds and even got the chance to feed a few peacocks in the garden. We were also able to visit the Ridiyagama safari park which is roughly an hours drive away. The staff were very friendly and the Sri Lankan food was really tasty. An amazing stay nonetheless.

Only small issue is that the last bit of the road leading up to the villa was bumpy

Had a great time at Tsuru Villa! The highlight for me was the lake view, 10/10 for the location. Enjoyed some real Sri Lankan cuisine and the gent at the premise was very kind and supportive. The fact that I was able to visit Udawalawe National Park, made things even better. If you're a wildlife lover looking for a peaceful stay, this is the place since it gives a lovely blend. Things to note - The immediate road leading up to the villa requires a bit of work however. Apart from that since I was flying out from the Mattala Airport, things were very convenient. So underrated, 10/10 in terms of value for money & I'll defs visit again, thanks Tsuru Villa team for your hospitality!

Absolutely love the location! Very quiet and perfect for relaxing. I was able to visit the Katharagama Temple as it isn’t too far from Tsuru Villa. The local food was delicious and getting to relax by the pool with a beautiful view of the lake and greenery was the cherry on top. The room I stayed in was very clean and well maintained with a nice balcony overlooking the lake with a superb breeze.

My family had an amazing time at this beautiful hidden gem! The location was just gorgeous with a beautiful lake surrounded by trees. The room and bathroom were very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helped us with anything we needed. We got the chance to go on a safari in the morning and relax in the pool by the lake towards the evening. Definitely coming back!!

Stunning location! Properly isolated and very peaceful. The room is big and spacious with a superb view of the lake and mountains. We had an amazing time here and got to relax and unwind with the family. The caretaker also really went out of his way to look after us. We also got the chance to go to Udawalawe national park and see elephants. Overall the trip was perfect especially at that price! I wish we could have stayed for more days but we have made plans to come again for a longer stay. A hidden Jewel!

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Tsuru Villa, the location is incredibly beautiful with an amazing view to wake up to in the morning, the rooms in specific the family room is really spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and kept well. The staff was really helpful and the food was tasty. We also went to udawalawe national park during the stay as it is close by.
