The location was out of town but not inaccessible. Taxis were cheap and if you wanted to walk there was a few restaurants and bars close by

There was nothing that I didn’t like

I liked the quaint nature of the place, the ammenities and the fact that the place only had a few houses with a shared pool which provided you with enough privacy.

I didn't like the cleanliness of the pool which had numerous dead bugs both floating and under the water. The bottom of the pool also looked dirty. I was really excited with the fact that you could use the shared pool however didn't get to enjoy it for this reason. I had an issue with comfort as the sofa wasn't comfortable enough to be used and there was only one as it is a small house. I was unable to get a good night sleep due to an issue/fault with the bed which was extremely noisy and impossible to sleep comfortably in it due to the incredible noise. However despite these issues everything else was really positive and I have to say I didn't communicate these issues during my stay regardless of the owner texting to find out if everything was ok. In the end we talked about it and both her and her husband were incredibly nice and said that it was a shame they didn't know we weren't comfortable as they would even have placed us in a spare house they had to fix the issue and they said if the bed can't be fixed they'll promptly buy a new one. They were open to all suggestions and seemed genuinely concerned. This review would not stop me from visiting another time in the future. And definitely communicate any problems as they are really helpful and will find a solution to accommodate you. Overall, it was a positive experience regarding a few issues and the place has great potential for a nice stay.

We loved our time at Quinta das Amendoeiras. The grounds are beautiful and so safe for children. Maria, our host, was charming, very kind and welcoming. Check-in was easy despite our late arrival and the apartment was set up beautifully with a cot bed for our baby. Swimming pool is lovely, it is covered every evening but you can open it yourself for early morning swims. It's about 20 mins walk to two very nice restaurants Farm Village and A Cochiera. The property has air-conditioning but we didn't need it despite temperatures of 31 degrees outside. The thick stone walls of the traditional house kept the rooms lovely and cool. XD

Everything. The property is well maintained. All the small details were well taken care of.

We went as a family. The cleanliness of the house, the pool and the landscaping were excellent. We had a nice holiday in silence. Lady Maria was very interested. Every day he asked us if we needed anything. Thanks

We loved our stay here! We had everything we needed, everything was clean and well maintained. It was quiet and peaceful. We loved that we could use the pool at any time. Maria was welcoming and helpful. Very charming place!

The only thing comment we have is the placement of the AC just above our heads in the bedroom wasn't the best.
