This listing is a scam. We spent hours traveling to the property, and when we arrived, we were threatened at gunpoint by an older man. A neighbor told us this is a common scam pulled by a former tenant who no longer lives there. We were forced to find a hotel at the last minute, paying three times more than originally planned. What was supposed to be a romantic getaway turned into a frightening and extremely stressful experience. Avoid this place at all costs.

I didnt like anything about the property. Crappy unkept road up to the property.

Everything. I booked 2 months in advance and you gave the spot to someone else? You didnt notify me you did not reply to any of my messages.

Brilliant location and views. Pet friendly. Would stay again. Great host.

We brought our own food but the host offered hot drinks & pizza. It was great to have a such well educated & interesting companion for a long chats. The house is surrounded by the wide mountain' s view. And very comfy, treasure & such a gift to spend good time . Big big thanks to John

Everything was perfect i had no issue

John and his dog Snow are two wonderful hosts, always ready to have a chat with some coffee or tea and always suggesting amazing places to visit! We enjoyed our stay very much, the calmness of Valentia island and its views are perfect for some relax and also it’s very close to the most beautiful spots on the Ring of Kerry, like Kerry cliffs. We thank you a lot and would totally recommend Harbor View to anybody!

Very comphy bed, and warm room with small blow heater provided as an extra. The heating came on after I arrived. The view from the window was spectacular.. Lots of scenic routes around. The owner John sent me a welcome pack which highlighted everything. He made me a bowl of popcorn as I said I was staying in. He offered me tea, coffee, for breckfast before I left. Very kind and thoughtful man.

Not much I didn't like. The towels could be replaced with new ones of better quality. I didn't really use them as I didn't take a shower.
