Breakfast was basic but nice food Staff where nice a friendly Room clean

No smoking area within the hotel Had to go down a lane way back of hotel to smoke in a open area with just a tin cover roof on concrete floor and stand while having a smoke. No where to sit down and relax, had to stand while having a smoke. For the money it cost to stay at hotel it was very basic. There was no where for water to run if the floor gets wet in the bathroom so flooding happen when taking a shower as there no glass door to shower area and the bathroom floor floods

Location is very central with SM and KCC malls in walking distance. Hotel provides a free shuttle but to the airport.

Hotel is supposed to be new which could justify the very high price. Upon arrival we were shocked to realized that the rooms were extremly small and tight. The bed was rather big, but it turns out to be 2 single bed put together and the gap in between covered with some hard board. With the bed filling 80 percent of the room there wasnt much space for anything else. The room rate was extremly expensive, there are plenty of other hotels in that area with much larger rooms and similar quailty for half the price. The room does not provide any minibar or fridge which is kind of ridiculous for a (Self proclaimed) top hotel in a tropical area. First night we called reception for some ice. After 30 mins we had to call again because nothing happened, after 2nd call we were delivered a small bucket full of ice. Next day we asked for ice again and again our request was forgotten. Upon second call we were told that we did not return the bucket from the night before which was already removed by housekeeping! After we complained about this behaviour they said they dont have any container anymore to send us ice. We asked them if the whole hotel has just one bucket for ice, 5 mins later we received a salad bowl (!) full with ice. We did not bother to ask for more ice in the coming nights (we stayed 6 nights) since the hotel seems to have big issues with these simple tasks. The room and especially the washroom was full with mold everywhere , applicance like hooks for hanging towels were connected to the wall unstraight like nobody cared about doing his job in a professional way. The washroom itself has no space to put anything, there is no shelf and no space on the sink. The housekeeping staff seems very busy from early morning till late night, but in fact they did not really make any progress but busy making pillow fights in the guests room instead (on 2 occasions). As a result this hotel is very expensive, unprofessional and not worth a stay.
