Nothing that we like

Location is bad

The location is great, and the staff is a nice couple raising a kid, they were nice enough to introduce us to a taxi driver company in this island and also helped us out figuring out how island hopping works.

Well, a lot of things, and by no offense this place got potential but they gotta fix it's issues: 1.Yellow water, I don't know how they do it or what causes it, but it's disgusting in all kind of levels. 2. Bugs and mosquitos, any other location would be fine, but not in a island infested with Malaria and the Dongi infection, now put it aside, we had a spider in our room just chilling about my backpack, which can be prevented by installing a mosquito net and sealing the windows 3. Smell, the room have a terrible smell, and honestly no amount of perfume or deodorant helped us here. 4. Power blackouts, I get it if it's island issue, but a notice/letting us know ahead would be nice, I'd be grateful. 5. Wi Fi is bad inside our rooms, No clue how to solve it but once the door is close the Wi Fi disappears into the void.

I've been 2 months in the Philippines and this is the worst price quality ratio. No breakfast and no water included for 2100 pesos a night (35 euro, 36 USD).  If you want to refill water you have to pay. It's ridiculous because even the nearby hostel provides it for free. To go to the second floor (where my room was) , the stairs super high, and I'm very fit, but I assume you can manage it. I also got a bunk bed, that was a bit of a surprise for paying 2100 pesos. Talking about the bed, the blanket was extremely tiny, I had to take out my emergency blanket after travelling for 2 months in the Philippines! There are also sandflies in the room! It took me a good first sleepless night to figure it out and then I bought some coconut oil which releaved my pain. Finally, I also tried to cancel my subsequent nights, but the owner were rude, calling me a scammer.

Decent wifi, AC, hot water

The staff was amazingly rude, just showed me the room, that's it. The room was full of ants, I asked them to do something and he just took the broom and swept some of them out, didn't solve the problem at all. Tiny bathroom with the shower in the middle, u could barely move and the water also poured into the room when taking a shower. Just two small benches in the "garden" to sit. One night the owner was sitting on one, I asked if I could join, he made a face and did not say one word to me. Yellow water, so u need drinking water for brushing ur teeth etc., water refill 10P, I explained that I need it because the tab water is yellow, they just said it's the natural colour and made me pay! One morning I was on the first floor and watched their little boy, maybe 6 y, pee all over the place like a dog! And so many bites at night, just don't go there...
