Várfal Wellness Panzió

The location was good.

We got room no 15 which was located by the smoking area in the parking yard. The smoking area also had a couple of bags and open pile of rubbish as a view on the side. The receptionist advised we guests will need to let each other out in the morning from the parking yard as it is "layered" meaning we had to park in front of each other. When we got to the room to my surprise it had a drop of 40-50cm in level and a green rug half roalled to the door to cover stains. We got a double and 2 sofa beds. The sofa beds were very short and not long enough for adults as the mattresses were hanging off the bed at the end. Booked for 3 adults and 1 child. Under the desk there were open sockets, we had a child with us, not sure how this was safe. The shower had very low hygiene standards, would not enter it without slippers. The biggest surprise was the room had a massive pipe running though it, ended up being for sewage, which kept us awake all night when the rest of the guests used the toilet or shower. For the above reason we ended up staying only for one night instead of the booked 2 nights. When we checked out i questioned why my 8 year old was charged tourist tax, and got a refund for that only. Receptionist offered to look for alternative rooms but to be honest we were exhausted and didn't want to chance it. Got no refund for the second night.

The room was fine, and so was breakfast.

The place is about 10 minutes by foot from the center, farther than we like. Staff was friendly but only one spoke basic English. No elevator.

The room was clean! The hotel was close to the city center.

The room is amazing and very clean and the bathrooms are soo nice 👍🏼👍🏼
