Update after the response of the owner: he basically called me a liar, although his standard copy-pasted text is a pure distortion of reality: -"it has never operated as a café" - not true. Take a look at the description on Booking: "Yes, we have a restaurant" with photo of the cafe on the ground floor (there are still 14 pictures of it on Booking. inspite of the continuing renovation); it is also very simple to google - there was a well-known cafe called "Madame" there. -"light renovation work" - not true. There was drilling from 7am every day. -"to the best of our knowledge, did not cause any disturbance to our guests" - not true. What about me? I was your guest and I just let you know about the great disturbance, which actually practucally ruined my stay -"all amenities listed on our page are provided" - not true. No bathrobe, no slippers, no ice in the freezer were provided. -"windows are triple-glazed" - not true. Windows have single panes. -"apartments are thoroughly cleaned" - just take a look at the pictures I posted, do you seriously believe this is what thoroughly cleaned looks like? In summary I can say, this response only added to the negative impression. I described my own experience and hope this will cause better care for future guests. I will certainly not be among them.

Staying here spoilt my vacation, unfortunately. My decision to book this accommodation (just a building with 5 apts +construction on ground floor, not a hotel) was primarily based on the café downstairs (14 photos on Booking). Not only is there no café in the building, but a construction is going on instead, on the ground floor, starting at 7:00am every day. Description "De Sheinkin offers... a restaurant, a bar, and a garden" is 100% false advertising. I arrived at 9:30pm and AC was off, after 32°C day, room super hot and sticky, not even 1 small bottle of water, no ice in the freezer and no instructions for appliances, e.g. AC. Unlike the description, there was no bathrobe nor slippers. I didn't bring my own, so had to buy next day. Also contrary to the description, the unit is not soundproof. All windows have single glass panes and the door is not airtight. Conversations/other noises from neighbors and passersby on the street are clearly audible. The construction site on the ground floor is a very loud, disruptive source of noise. Upon arrival I found broken toilet seat and bathroom door handle, loose toilet paper holder and damaged shower hose. Some of it was repaired during my stay, others were not. Bed too hard, uncomfortable; some dishes were dirty, as well as all windows; dry blood stain on the curtain. Why I didn't address these issues during my stay? Because I didn't want to spend my vacation time with this. One example: to repare the TV and toilet seat, he decided to come in later than I asked, as a result I missed the train I planned to take. If I knew all this, I'd never have booked here. I also find the 4-tile rating by Booking misleading. So yes, I asked Booking for a partial refund, because to pay over 150/night for 1 person and have a bad stay, is unfair. Received 1 night's worth back. Honestly, I'd rather have a nice comfortable stay than some money back.

התארחתי ב-de sheinkin אצל שי וזו הייתה בחירה מצוינת. כבר בכניסה מרגישים אווירה רגועה ומזמינה, מקום שנעים להיות בו ופשוט כיף לעצור בו את הזמן הכל מתוחזק ברמה גבוהה, מסודר מאוד ונקי מאוד שי הוא חלק בלתי נפרד מהחוויה שלנו נוכח כשצריך, קשוב, עם גישה נעימה וטבעית שנותנת תחושת ביטחון ונוחות לאורך כל השהות. זה לא היה אירוח שגרתי, אלא כזה שמרגיש אישי וכנה עזר לנו מאוד בנוסף יש מלא בתי קפה ומסעדות באיזור ומרחק הליכה מהים והשוק המיקום של de sheinkin מוסיף הרבה לערך של המקום והופך אותו לבסיס מושלם לחופשה. יצאתי עם טעם של עוד ואין ספק שאחזור אליו כבר בקרוב

The apartment is cozy, clean, airy and spacious, equipped with everything one needs including coffee machine with generous supply of pods. Two big windows facing a garden let the sun to light the apartment from the morning and on. Entry is easy with codes, the building is renovated and the apartment is modern including a swiveling TV that you can be watched from a sofa or from the bed. There are plenty of books if there is time to read.... The location is superb. In a radius of 5 minutes walk there are some of the best wine bars and restaurents, and other nice shops.

Our stay at this apartment was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. Check-in and check-out were seamless — everything was clearly communicated, easy, and perfectly organized. The apartment itself is spacious, modern, and immaculately clean. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered: the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for everyday living, the bathroom is spotless and in excellent condition, and there are even extra pillows in different sizes and firmness levels for every preference. It’s clear that comfort and quality were top priorities here. The location couldn’t be better — in one of Tel Aviv’s most beautiful neighborhoods, just a short walk from Banana Beach, one of the city’s most stunning stretches of sand. Everything you might need is nearby: supermarkets, charming cafés, playgrounds, and local shops for everyday essentials are all within easy reach. And then there’s Shay, the host. He is truly exceptional — friendly, responsive, and genuinely caring. Whatever you need, he’s there to help, whether it’s providing extra towels for a trip to the Dead Sea or offering storage space for a late departure. His quick communication and warm personality made us feel completely at home. In a nutshell: this apartment is a perfect home away from home — modern, spotless, comfortable, and ideally located. We couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll definitely be back!

The location, the flat was very nice and most of it Shay was a great host always available and very reactive
