Hotel Skylights Bangalore Airport

New building so the rooms are small but clean. WiFi was quite fast, bed OK, closet for clothes also OK. Apart from A/C not working, see below, I would say rooms are nice. Neighbourhood is ugly but quiet.

They are cheating about location! This is not an "airport hotel", pointer given in booking.com is misleading on the purpose, it shows parking in front of Terminal 1, not the hotel. From there there is still a 5.9km ride to the hotel. Hotel itself is at the outskirts of small village, nothing around - it has its own restaurant but is was closed during my stay, and then finding something to eat is a challenge, I walked along the main road and found only few very poor local food stalls, required courage to eat there. Another false advertisement - room was sold as having A/C, it was installed on the wall but not working, no power in its socket - so only fan left and room was hot. No fridge in the room, this is quite common, and water in shower was not warm.

Location convenient for airports. 24hour front desk. Hot water 24 hours. Not too hot without needing AC.

The alleged double bed was just two singles pushed together, that is NOT a double bed, it is impossible to lay in the middle. The drain in the bathroom was partially blocked, flooded floor. Last time I stayed there they used an excellent restaurant for meals, the one they now use is greatly inferior; it took over an hour to receive food once ordered and it was not hot when it arrived; I did not get what I ordered, but because of the time it took it was not possible to correct this. Worst of all, I asked the hotel days before arrival to arrange a taxi to meet me at the airport, the driver wanted me to get a shuttle bus with my luggage to a car park where he was waiting; that was impossible with all my luggage. I eventually had to wait over 20 minutes in the heat before a taxi eventually met me at the designated pick up spots outside the airport.

Breakfast simply amazing! The sweet provided was even more amazing!!!
