Earthbound Guest House

We stayed here as a one night stopover between an eastern cape safari and the wine district and it was perfect. We had a very comfortable room with private outside space, including a seating area and a fire pit. Set back from the front of the property, at the end of a winding garden path, our room was a lovely, private oasis. The staff were superb, always available and helpful, even recommending a restaurant for dinner (Nostalgie, which was fabulous), making the reservation and sorting out taxis for us. If we hadn't just been on safari we could have easily spent at least two nights and had plenty to see and do. In our 3 week trip, Earthbound was the cheapest accommodation we stayed at but it was superb value for money.

Tolle Unterkunft! Gute Lage und Ausstattung. Freundliches Team und großartiges Frühstück.

Die Bettdecken sind für die doch kalten Nächte etwas dünn. Das ist hier leider in fast jeder Unterkunft so.

Wir wurden herzlichen von der Gastgeberin empfangen. Wir haben sogar ein Upgrade erhalten. Parken konnte man direkt vor dem Gästehaus in einem gesicherten Bereich. Das Gästehaus war mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und verfügt über alles was das Herz begehrt. Die Zimmer verfügen über eine Klimaanlage. Das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und umfangreich. Bei uns gab es Pancakes mit Früchte sowie Eier mit Bacon.

Wir haben hier eine Nacht verbracht, weil wir auf der Durchreise waren. Und für eine Nacht war es wirklich okay. Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen. Es gibt feste Parkspots auf dem Grundstück. Unser Zimmer war ganz hinten, lag sehr privat. Alles war sauber. Das Bett bequem. Viele Kleinigkeiten wie Sherry und Süßes auf dem Zimmer machten den Aufentshalt besonders. Das Frühstück war sehr gut.

Leider hatten wir etwas Schimmel und einen muffigen Geruch im Badezimmer.

Excellent breakfast, aircon, electric blankets, thoughtful small touches and additions eg insect repellents, complimentary port etc

We were met by our very friendly host, Marie. The check-in was effortless. They even served our breakfast a little earlier than normal to accommodate our schedule. The electrical blanket and the air conditioning in the room were a huge bonus. Thank you for a very pleasant stay.
