I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. After an eight-hour journey, I informed the property of my arrival one hour in advance. However, upon arrival, I was not permitted to unload my luggage directly outside the hotel. “Due to technical works” what these were I could not tell you. This meant I had to carry over 40 kilograms of bags approximately 100 metres across the car park in nearly 40°C heat, which was extremely difficult and uncomfortable. Once inside, I was informed that my room would not be ready for another hour. During this waiting period, I observed other guests arriving and being allowed to unload their luggage without issue. After waiting an additional hour and ten minutes, I was told my room was ready. However, when I reached it, housekeeping was still actively cleaning. As a result, I was only able to access my accommodation approximately two and a half hours after my arrival. Given that this was a one-night stay, the delay had a significant impact on my experience. Instead of relaxing by the pool and recovering before my onward journey the next morning, I spent the best part of the day sitting around waiting for my room to be ready, simply so I could get changed out of my travelling clothes and have a shower.
