If you consider that the house had been flooded by a leakage days before we arrived and the wet smell through the house. No wifi the first day ( James gave us access to their privat house to call our home) A family of squirrels playing in the attic all night so it was difficcult to sleep. A branch from an old oak tree banging on the steel roof( fixed on day before our last night as Margot had heard it also from the last visitor) A corkroach in the bathroom. You can ask yourself why they didnt offer a discount ? Maby we should just have left. But noone was there when we arrived at 3 pm so we decided ti stay and not be negative old people😊

Perfect to escape the busy city yet very close to the Elgin Railway market and Peregrine farm stall. Quiet and comfy. Wood supplied for the stove and fireplace adding to the country cottage feeling. The nespresso machine and plenty of books rounded off a nice fireplace chill experience.

Satisfied with everything, even the friendly dogs and occasional squirrel that greet you in the mornings.
