We liked nothing, and would warn anyone choosing an accommodation in Mirissa to steer clear from this property.

I would give this property a negative marking if it was possible. We arrived at the property at approximately 11:00 PM on 20 March after a long day of travel. Upon arrival, the hotel manager insisted that we make full payment for the four-night stay at check-in. We requested to first inspect the rooms before making any payment. Upon inspection, the rooms were found to be in an unacceptable condition-dark, musty, unclean, with a strong foul odor and no evidence of proper pest control. As we were traveling with two young children, including a three-year-old with asthma, these conditions were not only substandard but posed a health concern. Consequently, we clearly stated that we could not commit to the full four-night stay. Given the late hour, we requested to stay for one night only. However, the hotel manager behaved in an extremely unprofessional and coercive manner, insisting that we pay for two nights and claiming this was required under Booking.com policy. Under pressure, and due to the implicit threat of being denied accommodation in the middle of the night, we were forced to comply. We also contacted Booking.com customer support via the app at that time. Despite making payment for two nights, the hotel subsequently marked us as a “no-show” on Booking.com, triggering an additional no-show charge notification. This action was completely unjustified and deeply concerning. The situation escalated to the point where we felt insecure about remaining at the property. The room conditions were so poor that we were unable to properly use the facilities-we did not unpack our belongings and could not sleep comfortably. We spent the night awake, searching for alternative accommodation to ensure our family’s safety and well-being. This incident occurred on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, an important religious occasion for us. Instead of celebrating, we were subjected to significant stress, exhaustion, and anxiety following an already long journey.
