The Reubens

Good location for visiting leeming bar care home. Room very clean. Staff lovely. Breakfast ok but dining room very cold but it was early 7.30. Would have liked 2 pillows and had to ask member of staff to check the very noisy extracter fan in bathroom. She did offer to move us to another room if it carried on and thought it was somebody having a shower in another room. It did continue for a long time but we were too tired to even think about moving.

Breakfast was brilliant, selection very good, food hot when served. Tables clean, also the cutlery.

Could really find anything wrong. It's a lovely stop off travelling North.

The location of the hotel was very handy for the local bus service between Northallerton and Bedale - bus stops in both directions one minute from hotel. The breakfast was good and the room comfortable. The evening food menu had a good selection and the meal was of good quality. Added bonus, for the beer lover, there were two real ales on hand pull. Hotel was also handy for the heritage Wensleydale Railway which was the main purpose of my stay.

The one improvement that could be made to the room I was in would be some sort of shelf next to the bed for the things go want to reach as soon as you wake up (there was no room for a bedside cabinet).

Room was smaller than anticipated. Angle of bed in relation to the TV was inappropriate and uncomfortable.

Good food, comfy beds, very pleasant staff and great value for money.

Nothing to criticise.
