Basic but very clean. The room had a comfortable bed, which was most important. But a lamp on the bedside table and a mirror on the wall would have been perfect.

Location was fine close to shopping area, supermarket and restaurants. The house was very tidy and clean.

Unfortunately we were expecting a self contained unit, as we misread the description. We hadn’t realised that the house was unlocked so went away and contacted the owner to find the house was left open. Breakfast was advertised as an “American Breakfast” we were shown where eggs, milk, instant coffee and tea were. There was no bread just eggs. It would have been helpful to have more communication from the owner.. And the advertising was open to interpretation.

Although the house is shared with the owner, she’s been very discreet and friendly too. The place was very clean and well maintained. The location is good, close to Howick village and several supermarkets can be accessed easily. Botany Downs shopping centre is not very far either.
