Kilda House

Great property in village with good amenities. Fantastic scenery, beaches, lots of lovely walks. Would love to come back.

The location is amazing and the house has everything you might need and more. We got to really enjoy it for the first few days when the weather was wild and we stayed in with the fire on to rest and relax

Spacious comfortable and great location for exploring south Harris. Also great local coop in village and two great places to eat Isle of Harris Brewery and the Bothy

Front door lock was broken.

Fabulous views, comfy beds, plenty of drawer/wardrobe space in bedrooms,spotlessly clean, kitchen was very well equipped in terms of pots/pans/utensils/crockery, daughter enjoyed the swings in the garden, we were spoiled with the weather and there were loads of books, leaflets etc about walks and cycles in the area which were really useful but if we had been less lucky with the weather the house was well stocked with DVDs, games and jigsaws, the communication from the hosts was great and we met Joceline on our last morning who was absolutely lovely

Being very, very picky - for self catering accommodation there wasn't a lot of space to store food in the kitchen. There were only 3 of us but the house can sleep 6, I think you would struggle to find space for a few days worth of food for 6 people as there isn't much cupboard space in the kitchen. There was a very good sized fridge and freezer but for anything like bread, cereal, store cupboard items, space was a bit limited.
