Esk Cottage

This is a dreamy accommodation, in a dreamy location. Charming little cottage, with 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, living, dining and kitchen. Lovely garden with a small stream where ducks come to play. Very clean and cozy, with modern heating system, and comfortable bedrooms.

Perfect location in the centre of town. Beautiful garden which was very well kept. Cosy cottage with everything you need for your stay. Bathroom was very modern and tastefully done with large walk-in shower. Very good information for the visit and within the cottage from owners.

We worried about the location of the bathroom in location to the steep stairs. In particular for visits to toilet during the night. We placed a torch nearby to help. The two bedrooms have good light and the larger is a good size. The smaller bedroom was a little cramped.

It was a charming cottage. Super clean and fully outfitted with everything we would need. There was even a quart of milk in the frig and a package of yummy chocolate chip cookies. The host left clear instructions for accessing the house. There was a short driveway by the house to park the car. We were near a butcher, grocery store and baker. The bread was still warm. Really nice town. The grass in the back yard was really soft and spongy, really amazing. We had sunny warm weather, in spring, in Scotland! The host even had lawn chairs so we sat out in the sun after a nice long hike.

That we couldn't stay forever.

House was very clean and had excellent heating system.comfortable lounge and beds.huge amount of crockery,cutlery and utensils in kitchen.very central location.grocery store 2 minutes walk away.lovely garden but too cold to sit out! Very good value .

The location was fabulous so central with lots to do and see loved the fact their were so many walks at your door step. Great information in the property and options

Unfortunately the beds were very uncomfortable very hard mattress in the double, only one pillow each and the pillows felt very lumpy when resting you head on them as if the foam inside the pillows had clumped together. We didn’t sleep particularly well. In contract the sofa was very soft.

Location was perfect, minutes from the main street and having on site parking was such a bonus. Such a great location as a base for all the surrounding interests. The cottage is lovely, the furnishings quirky and very comfortable, and the heating system, in particular, most effective on cold morning. We will definitely consider coming back here.

I had to fiddle a bit with the bottom gate in the garden, but the access to the lane is so handy it was worth it.
