Fantatic Holiday House

Very beautiful house with a soul, a beautiful location overlooking the ocean, a large space inside the house, house equipped with all the necessary appliances. Good quality of internet. Very helpful owner.

The house could have been cleaned a little more thoroughly. There should be towels and linens for a week's stay to replace them. Despite the beautiful outdoor kitchen and fireplace, there was no prepared wood or information on how to obtain it. The walls are very thin and you can hear everything through them.

Overall it was a fantastic stay. The home is beautiful with really amazing views of the ocean. It's super quiet and clean, and a great location for exploring the North part of the island. I look forward to staying here again.

Location was very nice. Also the house was a bit set back so you have some privacy there. From the terrace you can see the sunset and behind the house there is just the mountain, basically a steep green living wall.

Amazing place. Very steep mountain. But complete privacy. Big spacious house... There is everything You need. Great kitchen, bedrooms... A stream flows next to the mountains, levada trails are nearby. And the town of Ponta Delgada itself is very cozy. A beautiful ocean coast... :)

If you are looking for a quiet home with ocean view near to the nature, it is your choice to relax. We had a great time here, good location to explore the whole island. The owner is really nice and helpful.

First the hill road is challenging, but don’t give up, the view is worth it, you can easily get used to the steep roads is Madeira. :)

We wanted a place on the north coast of Madeira to enable us to explore that area, and this fit the bill perfectly, though being north facing on the north coast it is probably more suitable in the hotter months. The house is in a beautiful, quiet, private location, surrounded by lush vegetation and with a waterfall and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. There is a BBQ area, little garden and terrace, however due to the weather we were unfortunately unable to take full advantage of these. The main bedroom is large and the bed comfortable, with a second bedroom (which you need to walk through to get to the main one) just outside, perfect if you have children with you. Having a toilet on each floor was very welcome as it saved having to traipse up and down the stairs in the middle of the night. The shower is excellent, with plentiful hot water. The host, Carlos, is pleasant and approachable, and answers quickly to any questions posed.

The drive from the main road up to the house is not for the faint-hearted, or those with a big car unless you really like a challenge! We were rather daunted for the first couple of days but ended up enjoying it.

Everything is perfect! The house is perfectly equipped, the bed linen is fragrant, if you are cold there is heating, you will find everything in the kitchen, even a washing machine and dryer can be used. Breakfast on the terrace at sunrise and dinner at sunset. The little garden is also very nice. Next to it is a small levada, behind it is a beautiful waterfall. There are not many restaurants in Ponta Delgada, but there are in Sao Vicente. I recommend it to those who prefer silence and peace. We are very happy that we could spend a few nights here, if I could, I would give 6 stars.

There's nothing I didn't like. I recommend arriving by car and parking only for experienced drivers, because the road to the house is very, very steep. But it's worth!
