Villa Supun

The property sits behind a gated wall above a local family’s house with its own entrance via an outside staircase. It was very clean although the bathroom & kitchen needed a little attention, but this did not detract from the great space and lovely setting. The two bedrooms were clean and airy both with A/C but a mosquito net in only one of the rooms. Galle center is about a 10 minute TUK TUK ride away. ( UBER/PICK ME work well here. ) The owners are absolutely lovely people who are focused on making your stay as pleasant as possible, they give you privacy and are more than happy to help you if needed. We were treated to a Sri Lankan meal on our last night which was amazing. ( Thank you Hashini & Supun. ) Shout out to INDIKAS BEACH VILLA RESTAURANT. The food is as fabulous as the views along the beach.

It’s not a dislike, but a mosquito net in the second bedroom would allow more people to stay if nets are their preference.

The apartment is very light and airy, and has views of the jungle - it’s in a calm and quiet area. It’s a 10 minute drive to Galle fort, but we often walked to the beach road and took the local bus (very convenient). The apartment has a large terrace, and all of the rooms are a good size. The beds are comfortable and we slept very well there. The family lives in the house below, and they are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend.
