"The view is lovely, the place is comfortable to sleep and well provisioned. Wifi & lounge not good."

7.0

The view is amazing. It is comfortable, with good beds, although the living room seating is a little tight ( one sofa and one stool) for four or more people. The dining table inside is also small. You need more seating and eating space for a group of guests, which is what you would have in a 3 bed, 2.5 bath place. The table on the deck is plenty big enough for a group but it can be either too hot with the sun beating down ( no awning or umbrellas for shade) or too cold with the wind to eat outside- or if it rains ( which it did for us).The downstairs bedroom and bath are in the basement and more a kids' room. Having said that, for a short holiday stay and given the amazing views over the lake and to the mountains, it is manageable.

The main issue for us was the very steep driveway ( our friend's car lost traction and slid down) which the description should mention so people know what they are signing up for and so they start up the drive in a lower gear. The other problem, again not an issue if you are prepared for it and seek a retreat in nature, is the wifi. It is terrible- the worst I have seen in decades. Worse than the African or Asian countries we've visited recently. Only one person can be on the wifi at a time to get anything to work. Even then, half the time, you reach a site but can't do the transaction or booking due to lack of bandwidth. We were unable to speak to our son on Whatsapp for his birthday. Unacceptable in this day and age. They need to replace the Starlink (known to be weak wifi) or at least be up front about it in the amenities description so people know and can plan accordingly or go to another place.
