Beautiful a frame apartments with open air bathrooms and small Kitchenette. Large water fountain was wonderful as we drink maids of water, tea and coffee supplied. I had a cold when we arrived and staff were wondering running to town for lozenges etc. Lunch and dinner were set menus and of a good size for us. The setting in the rice paddies was quiet and very picturesque we enjoyed wandering and taking photos. The pool was lovely albeit a little cold at this time of year.

After moving on we realised we were a little isolated from town but that can also be a good thing..

The property was set in an idyllic field with palm trees and ocean views. It felt like a private, magic oasis. The rooms were well designed and comfortable and stocked with delicious drinks, snacks and water. The outdoor bathroom and shower was a fun novelty. The communal areas (pool, restaurant and spa) were clean and spacious allowing enough space for all guests. The food was delicious - some of the best meals I had on my whole trip to Bali! Home cooked, authentic and flavorsome. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home.

Due to the private and quiet location there are not many food options near by unless you have access to a bike or car.

We loved our stay at DesaCabins, everyone was very welcoming and the food was excellent. If you are looking for some quiet relaxing days this is a good spot for you. Hope to come back one day :)

Surrounded by rice paddies, looking through a coconut grove at the crushing waves at the beach while sitting on the veranda of our cosy A-frame cabin we felt like minor gods on the island of gods. The endless beach empty, our stomachs full with the simple but delicious dinner, listening to the birds, the frogs and the cicadas we feared the day we had to leave. Every single person on the staff was friendly, helpful and competent. Much of this - including many design choices - Desa Cabins owes to Diana, the woman who runs the place. Thank you Diana, Nanda, Bungi, ... and all the others who's names I shouldn't have forgotten.

We should have spent the Silent Day (Nyepi) at Desa Cabins too. Our bad.

Once we arrived and checked in, the grounds and sprawling cabin layout were the perfect antidote to the bumpy ride on the road in. Cute but small cabins, only 6 in total and a small but homely kitchen where they cook different menu's depending on the day. A highlight for us was the generously sized infinity pool, and plenty of sun loungers. This overlooks an expansive rice paddy run by locals and presents a peaceful beachfront rice farm with cows and ducks plenty nearby. Dog lovers may find this stay more enjoyable.

Probably avoid getting a massage till they've built the spa room. We were treated to a massage in a spare cabin but not something I would recommend for a relaxed therapy. The therapists tried their best. There's not much of a road leading in, not that the owners wear the blame for infrastructure but something to note. Bigger cars may fare better...ours was a tiny one.
