Old Coastguard Station

Perfect location

Exactly as it said on the tin, perfect location, in excellent condition, clean and well equipped. Couldn’t fault it really except for lack of a foot rest to watch TV if I was being pedantic!!

We loved the location. It was right across the road from the shore, and close to the harbour and castle ruins and the older part of town. Beautiful views of the sea and birds and the changing light over the course of the day. Also walking distance to the high street and the station. The house was lovely, very spacious, and everything was modern and worked well. Parking was easy.

The ground floor was nice and cool but the upstairs was warmer. I could imagine that it might get uncomfortably warm at times.

How close it was to the beach and the town It was clean and tidy

In my opinion it would of been better to have a toilet roll holder on the wall next to the toilet Also some kind of throw on the sofa as it was covered in dog hairs which was not nice We took our dog and we are dog lovers

Superb quality of renovation Position A for access to beach and Dunbar town centre Quiet location Great sea views On-street parking (once we confirmed the various nearby locations were restriction-free - not obvious on arrival due to recent road works obliterating road markings)

Minor issue but always helps a rapid familiarisation with a new 'home' for a week: e.g. brief instructions or original booklets on things like the cooker and heating would have been helpful.
