Glam Castle Apartments

Easy check-in, calm area close to Buda and Metro line at Batthyany ter. Host reacts to messages.

Location is good.

In room Margaret #4 there were dirty and not fresh bed sheets. The creaky bed was causing disturbing sleep. Me and my wife we couldn’t sleep on this bed, whole night we were constantly waking up because of the bed’s noise which caused a nervous state. And when we complained about it and asked to cancel the second day of staying (with a refund of one day) the household lady said that she can’t do anything with it.

The apartment is in an excellent location . It’s very modern inside and clean . Bed was very comfortable , although very noisy when turning in it . Table and chairs were nice to sit at . Bathroom was lovely, very modern . Our host allowed us to check in early as we were not meant to check in till 3pm (which was very kind ) , but we arrived in Budapest at 9am so we had been up since early hours . Kitchen facilities were brilliant . Had everything we needed , kettle , toaster and all utensils .

The bathroom had a very bad smell to it . I think probably from poor drainage underground , nothing to do with the cleanliness as it was spotless . We had no where to put our rubbish after a few days as the bin was full and is not emptied . Would be helpful to have a change of bags for the bins if staying longer than a couple of days and somewhere to put the rubbish . A later check out time option would be good also . We didn’t fly till 19.50 pm and had to leave the apartment for 10am . We had a large suitcase with us and bags , so had to use a storage facility a 10 minute walk away , so we could continue sight seeing .
