SanAnto Inn

I was unaware this was a house created into apartments in an unfavorable part of town. I am not familiar with the area and did not research the address before I reserved this. Lesson learned. I was told to park on the street, there was already a truck parked there. The interior and exterior lights were on. I did not feel safe getting out of the car in that area of town and had to book something else last minute.

What did you like about the property? Our stay was awesome. We actually took my mom to San Antonio for her birthday weekend, and she specifically wanted to stay on the old-school San Antonio side of the city—the Southside. We found the perfect Airbnb, the San Anto Inn, and absolutely loved it. My mom loved it so much she even said she wouldn’t mind buying a place in that area. The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful neighborhood with easy highway access and only about 10–15 minutes from downtown, the historic marketplace, and nightlife. We used Lyft to get around, which made everything even more convenient. The home itself was very clean, cozy, and comfortable—it really felt like coming home to grandma’s house. The beds were extremely comfortable, giving us a great night’s sleep—honestly five-star comfort. The full kitchen was a huge plus, fully stocked with utensils and everything we needed to cook. There’s also a cute little patio in the back with a grill if you want to cook out, plus a full washer and dryer for personal use, which was very convenient. The couch was super comfortable, and we enjoyed having streaming access like HBO on the TV. The host was excellent—everything was clean, ready, and they accommodated us with early check-in and a little later check-out. Parking was easy as well. Overall, we were very comfortable in our environment, and the space offered so many amenities that we absolutely loved.

The only thing that could be improved is the lighting. The living room and bedrooms could use brighter lighting or additional lamps, especially for things like getting ready. The restroom lighting was great though. These are minor, easy fixes.

The location was great for our needs! I also appreciated the fact that this property accomidates one night stays.

Not a deal breaker at all, but the lighting in the guest room was extremely dim. Quick fix for sure!

The beds are so comfortable.

The air conditioner in the kitchen was extremely noisy.

We absolutely loved this little home away from home. It was roomy, And clean. The beds are very comfortable, And the chair in the living room has to be the most comfortable chair I have ever sat in. It is a very quiet neighborhood, And super close to 35 ! And of course the hosts were super nice and welcoming.

The bedrooms do not have televisions, My Husband was a little bummed about that. And oven didn't work, And the grill wouldn't light for us. So we bought a bunch of food we couldn't cook.

Francisco was a great host; he made the check-in process very simple by meeting us at the house when we arrived, and was equally punctual and easy to work with upon check-out. We were most impressed and appreciative of his responsive to our requests during our stay: when we had asked for more pots and cooking utensils, Francisco was very quick to deliver everything in greater quantity and quality than we were expecting: he delivered multiple different types of pots (including a Dutch oven), sheets, and even a new air fryer for us. Our only note is that this house is near the main road / highway, so the sound of cars may be a little noisy at night. That said, Francisco's accommodation and overall quality of stay are fantastic!
