"Comfortable chalet in a good location for walking the coast path"

8.0

I stayed here for 4 nights to walk the Pembrokeshire coast path. It’s in an excellent quiet location, close to Pembroke with easy access to buses and trains. The chalet is warm and comfortable and although the information says there’s only a microwave, the supply of a stand alone single induction hob made doing an evening meal much easier. The hosts very kindly left milk and a very tasty flapjack which was much appreciated. Would fully recommend.

"Just lovely !!"

9.0

A great location for exploring the beaches and the surrounding area. A beautiful place to relax and unwind. We loved the private garden which was great for our dog and it was warm and cosy on an evening.

We loved everything about the property it was warm and very cosy and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. A heated towel rail in the bathroom would be useful to dry towels as the weather turned cold and damp.

"Pretty chalet, but unfortunately overpriced with rather uncomfortable beds."

6.0

Easy to get the keys. A lovely touch to find scones and jam waiting for us, with cream, milk and butter - really nice. I loved the design of the little wooden chalet. Comfy sofa and nice decor. The owner had clearly assumed we were booking as a couple, but we were not; however when I asked for extra bedding for the pull out bed which was mentioned in the listing, it was quickly provided which was great.

Although the owner seems very nice, unfortunately there were a few things about the chalet that mean I would hesitate to book it again. The main double bed is quite saggy and squeaky. The pull-out bed is essentially a campbed and not very comfortable; a proper sofa bed would be far better. There weren't enough towels provided, and the only large towel smelled so musty I had to put it outside. The kitchen seemed a little under-equipped. The place was not as clean as we'd expected - clumps of dust and (I think) dog hair stuck to our socks. The pile of leaflets about local things to do was out of date, eg it contained bus timetables for the previous year. Overall an OK place with a few things that could be easily improved - but really pretty expensive for what it was.
