St James Beachfront Villa

I was expecting a 4 bedroom house and it was only 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom and 1 toilet. It smelt very musty and the braai was dirty and unusable. I

The villa has a great view and is in a great location. The decor is charming

There was a rodent problem. One big black rate and a small grey mouse/rat in the kitchen regularly. It was a bit tired. No basic supplies provided: firewood, bread, butter, milk, water etc

Loved the location and the fact we could have a braai. There were sufficient crockery and cutlery. My daughters loved taking walks to the beach. We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Cape Town.

You could upgrade your bathrooms a bit.

The property offered single beds for our team travelling for work.

Arrival directions were terrible & the issues they face with google maps was not clearly communicated. Our group arrived very late & suffered to locate the accommodation. They tried to find it for over an hour. We paid a premium price for below par accommodation. We requested a seperate room for my husband who travelled with his team of workers & he needed some privacy. The establishment idea of this was a room leading into another room with a shared bathroom when we clearly requested a seperate space. The mattresses were old. The beds were on wheels & roll around when you turn over & squawks a lot. There was only two lamps in the house for load shedding - hardly a torch or candle in sight. It was located downstairs in the kitchen so when you are upstairs you are stuck in the dark. The gate motor had no battery so during load shedding the gate does not work. The house smelled of mould (which is toxic!!) & when we complained about the owner said he lives in the house & have never experienced it. This is concerning. This place is overpriced & does not have the amenities required for the prices he is charging.
