Riad Berber Merzouga

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The place was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. A special thanks to Hassan, who went above and beyond to make our stay truly amazing. He is incredibly kind and helpful—nothing was too much trouble for him. The rest of the hotel staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere!

Every thing perfect, beautiful palmera, very quiet, Hassan wanderful staff... And good music too

We traveled as a family group of 12, and at first, everything seemed perfect. They kindly allowed us to check in very late and waited for us until nighttime. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout. However, the experience changed completely once the main manager got involved. He overcharged us for the 4x4 tour, offered very high prices for the quad tours, and provided a very poor breakfast for 50dh per person—the same price for both adults and children. For what we paid, we were expecting something much better. The rooms were not properly cleaned; there was dust everywhere, including on the beds. One of the main reasons we chose this place was for the swimming pool, so the kids could enjoy it. Unfortunately, we felt that children were not welcome. The pool was kept closed most of the time and was only opened for 30 minutes after we insisted. It was later reopened briefly when new guests arrived, which made us feel even more uncomfortable. In summary, it felt like we were not welcome unless we spent money on their food or activities. Sadly, we decided to leave earlier than planned.

The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Hassan was our host and made sure we got everything we need. The food was delicious and the next day after our check-out, we still could stay at the swimming pool until our next late check-in.

When it's raining it's hard to come by because of the dirt roads around the riad. It wouldn't be a problem if you just let the staff know you need help.

We had a great time, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We also booked a desert trip in their Landcruiser which was an amazing experience. Additionally we had dinner onsite, the best tagine that we had during our nearly 3 week long road road trip throughout Morocco.

I highly recommend this Riad to anyone looking for a place where they feel welcome and cared for. Perfect location, in the heart of the city. Spacious room, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed with high-quality linens. Large bathroom with very clean toiletries. Exceptional service, attentive and caring staff, very helpful. Receptionist available 24/7. Very professional and friendly. Beautiful pool. The restaurant is pleasant. Hearty breakfast with a wide selection. Good quality dinner. In short, very good value for money. Thank you to the entire team for your professionalism and attention.

Lovely room with a small fridge, which is very welcome, especially in the heat of Merzouga. The location at the foot of the dunes is exceptional. Magnificent riad with a swimming pool in the middle of the large interior courtyard, towels provided. Hassan was very attentive; a big thank you for all the little touches. Delicious meals and a wide selection at breakfast. We recommend this Place

Our time at the Riad Berber Merzouga was truly enjoyable. Since you are right on the edge of the dunes, there isn't really a better place for anyone who want to see the southern Moroccan sand dunes. The personnel will take good care of you and is very helpful and nice. Local musicians will frequently perform at night. As of this writing, the pool area still needs some cleaning , but once that is done, I have no doubt that this will be an absolutely fantastic location.

Both the owner of the Riad and Hcan, who is taking care of everything there, have been very friendly and helpful. The Jeep Tour offered by the owner is a great experience.

The name is not Riad Berber any more, that's why I passend it by in my first attempt to find it.
