Talblick Homestay Ella

The accommodation was absolutely beautiful, the rooms and beds were super comfortable and nice, it's a great place to be in the middle of town but have peace and quiet and a nice view whilst also only a short walk to everything in town. Also can't forget to mention the host! What a great guy, has all the knowledge about town and helped with everything I asked, I'd definitely stay here again! Gotta be one of the best hidden gems in Ella!

יש דירות בבנייה ליד ההוסטל, רועש מעט ומעיר בבוקר , אם אתם אנשים של חיי לילה תמצאו את עצמכם קמים ב8 בבוקר מדפיקות בפטיש ורעש לא סביר לשעות האלה , שיקול שצריך לקחת

the location is excellent, just a 3-minute walk from Ella Main Road. But that’s about it.

Calling this place a “homestay” is like calling a cockroach a bird — it’s got Walls, some bed, some bathroom fittings, but that's about it. Let’s break it down: 1. The rooms were moldy and smelled like it too. We couldn't step on the floor without shoes. Everything had inches of dust on it. 2. The bathroom isn’t exactly separate — the walls don’t fully close, and half the ceiling is missing. Not kidding. 3. The bathroom door doesn’t close properly. My friend and I had to kick each other out every time one of us needed to use it. We ended up using the restaurant bathrooms because we couldn’t bear to go into this one. 4. The bathroom had snails and cockroaches. 5. The bedsheets had stains of who-knows-what. Honestly, I felt disgusted lying on them. When we asked for a fresh set, the host first gave us a blanket, and later, a piece of cloth that had twigs in it. Cute, right? 6. The walls are damp. We kept our luggages near the wall and the part of the bag that touched the wall was completely wet. 7. And now, the best part. The host seemed nice at first, but within ten minutes of checking in (before even going into the room), he asked for payment. We’d stayed at several homestays in the past week and never encountered that. We told him we’d pay later as we might extend our stay in Ella. On the second day, he asked again, saying he needed the money for Poson. We paid, and never saw him again — not even when we checked out. ***To top it all off, on our last morning, before even checking out, while we were out for breakfast, he called us saying our car had arrived but he was sending it away because he wanted us to use his taxi instead. Super sleazy. Gave us so much grief and anxiety. And then couldn't find him anywhere to check out. We just had to leave

Location, very close to the main street

- moldy - smelly - dark - toilet not really separated from the rest of the room due to missing ceiling, very unhygienic and smelly - windows covered with styrofoam

Dany is the only good thing I'll remembered of this place

First of all there were none of the equipments announced on booking.com (no TV, no bath, no tea/coffee set, ...) A hotel nearby played music loud till 3am at night ... And it was not even the weekend! Cockroaches (5 cm long at least) ran at night in the bathroom... I didn't even use it !!

Amazing place, we booked 4 days at first and then extended for 2 more days. 2 minute walk from ella city. Host was very very nice. Can't find a better price for the quality
