Very comfortable room lovely breakfast

We needed to leave early and so they did us a gorgeous early cooked breakfast at 7am. Dogs were accommodated in 2 kennels near the house. Our room was really lovely and very comfortable. We were at an event at the newark showground and so it was really convenient. We would definitely stay here again.

Booking.com said pet friendly. Owner said not in the bedrooms (understood). When we arrived told no dogs any where. When I asked to use the loo the surly man told me to take my boots off. Drove back to Dorset very unhappy

A lovely setting, peaceful and quiet, the owners were very friendly, and the breakfast was great, I would recommend staying here,

The location was beautiful and peaceful. Although the room was small it had a beautiful view and its own shower which was excellent. The breakfast was very very nice, as vegans we especially enjoyed some amazing vegan sausages along with toast and fruit and yoghurt.

Unfortunately we could not connect to Netflix on the smart tv which actually didn't matter as we could of watched it on our phones had we been able to stay awake!! Sleep was disturbed during the night despite the bed being comfortable because it was very squeaky and it squeeked every time we tossed or turned in the night and it woke us up. The duvet was rather crinkly and rustled during the night too and it was a large heavy one which I did feel a bit trapped under. It did seem rather large for the bed. The bed was a bit small, a standard double, probably only because we have a super king sized bed at home so we are used to much more sleeping space as my partner is 6ft tall. I think a minimum of 5ft wide bed is best where possible.
