The decor and the interiors is done very tastefully. The pool area and the outside dinning area is amazing. The evening folk music show was a pleasure. Staff was courteous and helpful. It was a pleasure to interact with Mr. Shyam he was very helpful.

The room service was a little slow at times. The breakfast menu was a bit repetitive could be a better variety.

Great location and hotel grounds. The decor was amazing with some stunning interior design work. Enjoyed the evening cultural activity. The food at restaurant was stupendous and really enjoyed the daily morning breakfast!

The swimming pool looked like not used or kept in a clean state.

The appearance, the facade and the size of the property along with the size of the rooms were palatial and like that of a 5 star hotel. Unfortunately that's where the feeling of a 5 star hotel ended. It's still a 4 star or a little higher than a 4 star but with the price tag of a 5 star hotel (hence the cons).

There were a bunch of things not on par with the experience of a 5 star hotel that I've experienced at other properties such as Taj/ITC/Marriott etc. The review is keeping in mind the services/amenities offered with the 5-star price tag and thus you'll often see a comparison to a 4-star facility. 1) One of the biggest cons was the quality of the breakfast. The spread was limited and the quality and taste of the items in the spread were sub-par. Honestly, I'm used to having better breakfast at 4-star hotels. 2) The service from the hotel and the staff was clearly a 4-star service. If I start putting everything in words I'll have to be very long-winded and I'm trying to avoid that. It's the small things that add-up to make the stay a 5-star stay and they clearly failed to offer that. Here is a glimpse - e.g. coffee sachets instead of an espresso machine in the room, bathrooms were not elder friendly and lacked a magnifying mirror, the pool was not heated preventing access in winter time, the foyer was royal but every other hallway was just meh etc.
