There is a gate to enter the property and no bell to ring to announce the arrival. The way to contact the owner is by calling on a national phone line. For non-Portuguese tourists, it would help to have a number on WhatsApp. Expensive comparing to similar accommodations with a location closer to village.

"Nice peaceful setting with nice room and kitchenette. 10 minutes out of town."

Very nice peaceful stay, nice rural setting well equipped kitchenette. Note to Historic Way walkers: make sure you call ahead if you think you’ll be early. I saw from earlier reviews that they live on the property but they couldn’t come let me in for an hour because they were elsewhere. Location about 10 minutes out of town so shop and eat before you walk here.
