Urban Elegance Retreat

Good: - Laundry/ washing machine easy to use - Very central location

Bad: - property description did not clearly explain that you still need to walk up one flight of stairs after taking the elevator; - the elevator broke down (on a Sunday). No elevator repair could be arranged on that day. So we had to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs multiple times that day. And then on Monday morning, we had to carry all our heavy suitcases down 4 flights of stairs when checking out; - no standing shower; only a bath tub with a hand held shower. Generally, showering will make the whole bathroom floor wet, and water may even leak outside to the hall/ wooden floor; - the bedrooms face the main street, so on certain nights (eg Saturday night), the boisterous sounds of music and people’s revelry extend deep into the night; - the bed in one of the bedrooms (closest to the front door) had bed bugs. Our teenage son had 9 bed bug bites across his body.

Right in the heart of the old town, beautifully designed apartment and owners were very communicative.

The only thing we didn't love was the shower/bath set up, would have preferred a standing shower. Everything else was great.

Location - comfort- communication with the company

I’m not one to complain about things and I’m only saying that I was led to believe that there was a hot tub and a shower ! But the shower was not a shower but a shower head that was part of the bath tub so actually to take a shower I had to stand in the bath and keep holding the bath shower head over my head ect which I’m sure you can imagine. There wasn’t an actual “”shower “” just a bath But we did manage

The size of the property and the location was good.

The noise from the street below but I did read this beforehand and took earplugs, the apartment is needing a few things fixed such as the bathroom tap, dinning chairs, and blinds in the livingroom for example.

Place was nice.

Bit difficult while bathing in bathtub as there were not space to put bathing accessories. Otherwise everything is nice.

Loved the location and views.

The noise from local bars all night long.

The apartment is on the main street in old town. The location is perfect, many restaurants, bars, shops around.

Leaking AC, although property manager send people to fix it, but it was in a very inconvenient time ( some people were still sleeping, someone was in a shower and etc.)

Location was excellent. Right in the heart of everything. Apartment was very spacious and had everything we needed. Comfortable, cosy, the balcony was a lovely touch and because it was up high we had lovely views out each window. The beds were huge and very comfortable. Getting the keys was very easy and the instructions given by email were very helpful, I especially enjoyed the video !

It doesnt have a shower and we did know this going in but thats the only thing that was a bit tricky. Also noises from the street below but it is mentioned in other reviews so we were forewarned. If its a midweek stay you wont hear a peep, it seems to be a weekend thing but with the location so central that is to be expected.
