The Hayloft

Good location, very peaceful. Well appointed property and very clean. Parking available under covered area. Lovely sea view when cloud disappears!

The oven in property takes ages to get to temperature and then takes ages to cook food. The hob was brilliant though.

The cottage is beautiful, located about a 5 minute drive from the stunning beach. Facilities were everything we needed and we were able to get everything we needed foodwise from the nearby town, Bude, which is about a 20 minute drive away.

There's very little to criticise as the cottage is so clean and facilities were good, only drawback is beaches, pub and shops are a fair distance away so car journeys will be needed for everything you need but at this price and for the location it's certainly worthwhile.

We were permitted earlier access upon request. We were sent a gift in the post of cornish coffee, tea and biscuits which was a lovely treat and suprise. We were given a brilliant air fan which was well used due to the soaring temperatures during our chosen week to stay. There was a great choice of family DVD's and games. We particularly enjoyed Doc Martin, and are now hooked and want to see all the series! We even had a lovely visit to Port Isaac, which was great fun.

Perhaps a fan in each room, when temperatures are soaring into the 30's.

We generally wanted somewhere to sleep between our visits enjoying Cornwall but were pleased that we felt we could go back the the apartment and just chill. The peace and quiet were great after the noise and bustle of city living, but equally just minutes from beach and shops and restuarants. Our hosts clearly went to a lot of trouble and thought into making their guests have a memorable stay.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. The main bed was a little soft for our liking, but would probably suit most holiday guests. It certainly would not put us off staying there again :)
