lovely setting

Arrived at the gate and called Nicolas to open as promised. no answer on 3 calls. 20 minutes later, somebody. Small cottage poorly maintained- had to wedge a piece of wood against the fireplace to keep it closed because metal lock had come off. not enough firewood.
