Apparently an email gets sent after you book via Expedia. I did not receive any email from the management company or Expedia that had all of the important information to self check in, which was quite a hassle. Upon speaking with a manager through a speaker at the checkin stand, She admitted that it is a common that their messaging (check in/checkout manual ) does not always either get sent or received via Expedia. I explained my phone did not allow me to make local calls, and to please email me directly with the passcode to get the key, wifi info, and check out info. It took about 3 replies back and forth to finally get the answers that could have been settled in one email. The manager insisted I communicate via phone (my phone wasn't working) or Expedia messaging, but only to receive an automatic message saying the response could be delayed. I also had a car, and was told I needed to get prior permission to park- and had to go pay for overnight parking- something that could have been avoided if I got this initial email she claimed to have sent. It's a typical Japanese apt, that was clean, and had decent amenities, otherwise. Not much around for food or entertainment in the area. Hoping the communication is better for future customers.
