The only thing that could have made it better is if we could of had 1 more night.

Nice location right in the redwoods on the Avenue of the Giants.

I would have loved the funky offbeat grandma charm of this place with its old decor and 6 different floral patterns if it cost $125 a night. But for $200 a night, it felt pretty overpriced, so I didn't feel like cutting them slack for things like hair on the pillow and bedspread and a wall clock that didn't work. The POOL was advertised on the webpage and in a neon sign out front - but it is closed for the winter (doesn't reopen until April). We had brought our bathing suits and were disappointed. The rooms had an overwhelming smell of artificial air freshener. Off the beaten track; in the off season (January), the closest place for dinner was Garberville, about 20 min drive away. You may want to bring your own food, or there is a supermarket across the street. We noticed a lot of hotels in Garberville, these might be worth checking out for price comparison.
