Nothing as my room was 'cancelled by Booking.com because I didn't check-in before 12:00 p.m.'

As I arrived at approximately 17:30 and within my advised ETA, I was told my booking was cancelled because I did not check-in before 12:00p.m. I was told: 'it's in Booking.com standard, please read it. Booking.com automatically cancel the booking if you don't check-in before 12:00 p.m. I have never had this bad experience before. Maybe I've booked over 100 rooms already with Booking.com and I've never had my booking cancelled.
