"You just can’t miss it!"

10.0

What an exceptional place to stay! It is a huge house with many bedrooms and living rooms in a very special style. Truly a lifetime experience and I really recommend it to everyone.

The shower on the level 2 has a broken door and the water drain seems stuck. That’s really the only thing, the rest is exceptional.

"We had a great stay"

9.0

My family and I had a great time at the Chapel House. The property was very well kept and extremely clean. Mr. Stanislaw was such a wonderful, kind and generous host. He left a really nice hamper for us with assorted Scottish cookies, chocolates etc., which was super sweet. The Chapel House is a great infusion of the old and the new with all the facilities in the beautiful ancient architecture, which is such a rare find. The location is also great if you wish to explore the highlands provided you have your own vehicle with you. Our check-in was seamless, kitchen was fully functional, which really helped as I was traveling with my toddler, and the rooms were quite comfortable. We had a lovely stay, overall. Thank you once again, Mr. Stanislaw.

"Wonderful times in a comfortable and interesting historical property. We cannot wait to return."

10.0

Even before we entered the house we were very impressed with the imposing historical house and its stunning location. The views from the house over the Small isles, Village of Arisaig and harbour were spectacular. We were pleased to find a welcome gift and very detailed instructions on how the house worked, some history of the property and how to keep everyone safe. The following morning our host showed up with some lovely almond croissant and with enquiries as to how we had settled in. The host was very pleasant and welcoming. His hospitality did not end there, leaving another sweet delivery on check out day. The house exceeded our expectations by being very well equipped and extremely comfortable. There was a washer, dryer and a dishwasher, making daily routines quick and easy. The two sitting rooms provided comfortable seating areas with large windows to watch the wonderful vistas. The location allowed us to explore Mallaig, Glenfinnan, the wonderful beaches of Morar and take a day trip to Skye. We went to the Visitors' Centre in the Village and enjoyed reading about the rich history of the area. There is a lovely restaurant in the village and a wonderful dog friendly pub with live music and a seafood shack co-located with the pub. The tea room in the harbour was a delightful little stop for a mid day break. Reservations are highly recommended at peak times because the restaurant and pub fill up very quickly. If stuck, there are a couple of options. We would highly recommend ordering from the Seafood Shack. The food was very well prepared and beautifully presented. Their hours are limited, closing at 2 pm but well worth the effort to reserve a platter and enjoy it sitting around the large kitchen table with family and friends. Additionally, there is a well stocked convenience store located between the pub and the restaurant that has a variety of heat and serve convenience foods, fresh bread and a nice selection of wine and spirits.

Leaving:)

"Picturesque home provided by parishioners is a historic stay to remember!"

10.0

Picturesque location overlooking this sweet coastal village. Huge, 3 story home with 2 large living spaces: one for reading, playing cards or relaxing and another for playing games and watching movies. Both rooms so comfortable and perfect for staring out the window to the sea. Fabulous, oversized dining room for big family dinner or amply sized kitchen dining space with another view out the window of the sailboats and sea! All beds and bedrooms comfortable and roomy, many with the same gorgeous views! Kitchen well stocked with anything you may want including a delightful coffee maker and full sized fridge and freezer. This home has it all- adjacent laundry room with full sized W&D was a welcome surprise for our traveling family! The bonus was the blessing upon entering and the bountiful basket of treats!

That our stay was so short, we could’ve stayed so much longer here!! Short walk to the lovely local village with great eats and easy commute to neighboring cities!
