Waihi Motel

Good location, we were doing the Hauraki timber trail so it was only a short cycle to the track. Also a short drive to Waihi beach .

very clean, well furnished and cared for, with all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. it had some nice touches not available in some places...hooks to hang things on, covers on chair arms, simple stuff. Great parking. nice private table out the back door in downstairs unit.

for the price, it was better than we expected. pillows typically uncomfortable but that's normal!

Our stay at the Waihi Motel was a delightful surprise. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the motel's friendly and welcoming owner. Her warm hospitality immediately made us feel at home. The motel itself was beautifully clean and well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable and inviting, with everything we needed for a pleasant stay. While the decor might be a bit dated, it didn't detract from the overall cleanliness and functionality of the facilities. We were particularly impressed with the amenities, which were all in excellent condition. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the bathroom was spotless. Overall, our stay at the Waihi Motel was fantastic. We were so comfortable and impressed with the quality of the accommodation. We would definitely recommend this motel to anyone visiting the area and would happily stay there again in the future.

There was nothing that we did not like.

It was tidy and suitable for our needs for sleeping. Hostess was kind and polite and the general state of motel was good.

I didn’t like the toilet paper dispenser in their loo as it took up space when sitting on the toilet and really not necessary.
