Purtroppo il ristorante era chiuso

Nett gelegenes und hübsch eingerichtetes Zimmer mit hervorragenden Betten und einem großen modernen Bad. Frühstück gibt's im Thon Hotel - das ist zwar einen knappen Kilometer entfernt, das Buffet ist aber super.

Leider war das warme Wasser aus (wir waren die einzigen Gäste), aber dafür haben wir das Frühstück kostenlos erhalten.

The bed was comfortable, bathroom spacious, it was warm and clean.

There is no check in at the hotel - no staff. Messages through Booking.com told us that we must check-in at Hotel Marena. But on arrival (with my elderly mother) a message there at reception then told us that check in was Hotel Thon, on the outskirts of town! I had to leave my senior mother sitting in the rain whilst I made the 25 mins walk to and from Thon to get our key to check in (and to be told that breakfast was not available - nor for free - at Hotel Marena but at Thon, again different to the messages we continued to receive through Booking.com.) The room, although warm and comfortable had no kettle, and as above the closed cafe area (and looking out onto a skip and building rubble rather than the view of the harbour as we had hoped) I had to move the wooden tables on the closed cafe veranda against the metal framework in the wind, rain and darkness of the night to stop the wind bashing loose metal framework and keeping us awake. After a week of wonderful hosts and experiences in Norway, this was a disappointment.
