The toilet is in the shower. Very strange. I have not stayed at a contactless place before. It was strange.

I think the owner said that they spent 5 million dollars remodelling the place, and I did love the luxurious style in the rooms (though perhaps not the toilet in the shower). Very stylish. I was particularly impressed by the HVAC, which is like those in top hotels in its ultra quiet and effective operation. AC units can be so deafening in some motels. This one was fantastic. The room itself was small but spotless. The landscaping around the pool is very attractive. If you have children or valuables, you will appreciate the high security afforded by the solid wall-like 'gate' that is shut except when in use to let a car in or out. I liked being able to park right next to our room. High quality sheets.

- lengthy process to jump through all the hoops needed to be approved to stay at this hotel, reading the contract, uploading front and back of driver's license and a selfie too, etc. (Be sure to screenshot every screen and keep all the emails and read the contract and all the rules and policies carefully.) - difficult to find the place due to the wall-like solid gate, and the gate did not let us in until just before 4pm (most hotels have a checkin time of 3pm. Not this one.) - loud train honking & busy road noise - $250 security deposit, to be returned (though that can take 7 to 10 days, they say) if you pass the checkout inspection. (We brought and used our own sheets just to be sure we did not dirty the sheets). If I ever again consider booking a non-standard hotel with a security deposit, I will take into account that some reviewers may not feel able to be entirely honest, for fear of losing their security deposit. - owner came to our room 3 times to give us pool towels etc., instead of just giving them to my husband when he went to the office to ask for them. - short pool hours - if staying only one night you might not be able to swim at all! - deceptive photo of pool - it is barely big enough for 2 people - pool the dirtiest I have ever swum in, with large amounts of debris including dead wasps, and I got caught in long hairs 3 times in the short time I was in it, and the cushioned pool loungers had long hairs on them. - within minutes of my posting a 3/5 star review on another site (and 3 out of 5 stars felt generous but I had wanted to be kind!), the owner came to express her extreme displeasure at great length, accusing me of defamation and demanding that I take the review down. She wanted me to take it down and sign something in return for a pro-rata refund. I would rather lose money than do something so shady, so I did not sign anything. I have never experienced such unprofessional behaviour from a hotel/motel owner before.

What a gem! It is Airbnb style with no office check in. This made check in and check out so easy. The pool was beautiful and relaxing. The staff was more than accommodating. If in Modesto again I will definitely stay here!

There is not an ice machine or snack machines on property. Come prepared!

Is in the middle of comercial building you need a code to open the gate is just something different nobody is around to guide you you need to do your check in on your phone so you can be available to open the gate the rooms they are nice is just too hot when we open the door you are expecting cool rooms especially in a hot day after a long day

Hidden and secured, clean, modern and comfortable. Quiet for a well rested night.
