Senaru Garden Homestay

We had the most remarkable stay here. The owner is so nice and welcoming. The first night we did karaoke and danced together and the second night we were invited to a ceremony celebration, such a memorable experience! The rooms are ok, basic but everything that you need: a fan, warm water and a comfortable bed.

If you can't handle insects, maybe don't go here. But honestly I think insects will be in every accomodation since Senaru is basically in the jungle.

Really peaceful place, in the middle of a garden, great to visit Senaru waterfalls (we could walk there). The staff is really nice and helpful!

The wifi was terrible, not working in the room, we didn't have hot shower during the evening both days, hot water was working in the morning. Because of the location in the middle of the nature we found spiders and some other bugs in our room a few times, if it's something bothering you maybe not the best place...

One of my best place in Indonesia ! The owner Ahdi and all his friends were very nice and friendly. When you come here it's like your home. The room and the bathroom are very comfortable, I felt very well ! Don't hesitate to come here if you want to stay in Senaru or if you want to climb up Mount Rinjani. They organise this trekking with a good price 👍

The bungalow doors are a little difficult to lock. But the rest, all good !

The owner was lovely and gave us lots of of informations about the area ! We also met his friends, whom were all lovely ! Spend good time there !

The family that takes care of the homestay is very nice and have some awesome projects for the place. The food is also very good and good price!!

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. In 25 years of travelling to Lombok, I have never had such an unpleasant experience... and I wasn't the only one. The group of rooms offer bed-in-a-box accommodation without anything else in the room. The "gardens" are rough and neglected. The location is a long way down a steep hill from the attractions, and eateries but the host refused to organise any transport. He also didn't offer WiFi but then gave a coupon. That was only good for 4 hours and he resisted giving me any more time. Then the modem was turned off til next morning! I paid on arrival in cash for 2 nights. He said he didn't have change but other guests told me later there were no ingredients for making the basic breakfasts after they and others paid. When I said I was leaving after one night, he became surly and said he would get me transport out but it was at a much higher price than other places were asking. Another couple also had issues with him and we both left a day early with no refunds at all and no apology. JUST ALL BAD.

The family is lovely and the food was very good. Ardi was very helpful for the places to see, for the bike. The waterfall near the accommodation is amazing ! And I had an excellent evening with Ardi and his brother around Bintang, rice wine and music. The room is simple but clean and same for the bathroom.
