April Cottage Ringwood

The cottage is perfect, so well maintained and clean, very welcoming, hosts were very responsive on the telephone, and we felt if we had needed to ringing them wouldnt have been a problem. HIghly recommend

Nothing, although part of the charm of the cottage is the low door frames so anyone over 5 foot 8 needs to duck!!

The property was cold, dark, damp and filthy. We ended up checking out early as it was not a suitable or safe place to stay as a family. There were essentially no curtains so the light came in as soon as the sun rose. The beds squeaked every time you moved and you could feel every spring in the mattress. The bathroom had not been cleaned and was stained and dirty, the bathroom door was also made of clear glass so you could see through to the kitchen when using the toilet. The host was rude and degrading and accused me of lying about the condition of the property even after I provided photo and video evidence to booking.com. I would not recommend booking this property.

Decent value for money

Kitchen was a bit pokey and downstairs bathroom was a bit inconvenient. Bedrooms small.

Being in the middle of town, and close to river walks

The paperwork which was left could have been more up to date, e.g. the fire certificate was 4 years old, and the insurance was ended in 2025.

The cottage was perfect for our needs. Enough room for a family of four. The property was excellently equipped and we would recommend this property.

Everything met our expectations and sometimes exceeded them.

Location was excellent to explore the local area. Towels were huge and fluffy! Kitchen was well equipped. Heating was fast and effective.

We booked the cottage as it was dog friendly and we had bought our own dog. There was a lot of dog hair already on the floors in the property however. If we sat on the floor or dropped anything we/it was covered in short white (Labrador type) hair and our pooch is a doodle so it wasn't his! There were a lot of little touches which could have improved what should be a really pretty little cottage. 2 kitchen cupboard doors were damaged. The bath panel wasn't fixed properly. There were missing bricks in the fireplace. The gardens could have been better attended to etc.
