The room at Uwon could be considered a 5 star resort one! It was such a good value for money, definitely the most upscale room we had on our trip. Spotlessly cleaned, with super comfortable bed and all the amenities. Fast wifi and super friendly owners.

It’s a peaceful and quiet place, perfect for those looking to relax. The location is fantastic, with several small, cozy beaches nearby, such as Jungle Beach, Ketaturu Beach, and Coconut Beach. These spots are not crowded. The hotel itself is new, and the rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. The hot water in the shower worked flawlessly, which is always a plus. The breakfasts are delicious, big portions. The owner, Chamil, and his family made sure I felt at home and were always ready to assist with anything I needed. Getting to Weligama center is easy with a tuk-tuk, and if you ask Chamil, he can help arrange one at a reasonable price. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a quiet, comfortable, and welcoming stay near some of the most beautiful, less-crowded beaches.

Very clean nice room - comfortable bed 10 min from Jungle Beach and a cozy café/restaurant The owner went to the trouble to go and buy a bottle opener just for us.

It would be nice with an extra Bin in the room and a bath mat in the bathroom

Room was very clean, the furniture was modern, the owner was really nice and helpful.

The price was a bit to high.

Uwon Hotel is a true gem in a great location! The hotel is on a quiet street, just a 3-minute walk from Jungle Beach and a 5-minute drive to the centers of Weligama and Midigama. The hotel is newly renovated and well-maintained, featuring 4 beautiful, clean, and spacious rooms. There is a large and comfortable bed, a brand-new AC that works perfectly, a convenient work desk, and a lovely balcony that elevates the entire experience. Chamil, the owner, is wonderful with an exceptional sense of hospitality! When we mentioned that the Wi-Fi in our room wasn’t stable, he went out of his way to install a new router the very next day. He constantly checked in to see if we needed anything and was incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay. The shower offers hot water with excellent water pressure, adding to the overall comfort. We stayed for 7 nights and would have happily extended our stay if the hotel hadn’t been fully booked. This is a quiet, family-friendly, and authentic place – highly recommended! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at Uwon, Sansamali and his family really looked after and nothing was too much for them to make my stay comfortable. The property is beautiful and on a quiet back street, but easy to get to Weligama and other surf breaks. I'd recommend Uwon 😊
