Fifth Milestone Annexe

Cute annexe that was well appointed. Thoughtful touches everywhere. It was lovely to have an almost fully self-contained apartment. Despite being on a busy road, it was quiet.

Even with the correct coordinates, we had trouble finding it due to pressure from the traffic on the road. Could not drive slowly enough to look properly.

Beautiful couple's cottage, nicely decorated and well appointed. Private off-street parking. Close access to park & ride for easy access to York city centre. Also good location to access Whitby, Scarborough and other coastal towns and the North Yorkshire Dales.

The cleanliness, the thoughtful touches to welcome us.

We knew it was on a main road and was happy to accept the traffic and the noise but the pavements were so narrow and overgrown that It was difficult to walk the dog safely. Not anything that owners could do but it did make it hard for us.

Lovely location, super clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend

The facilities the property offered

Getting in and out onto the road from the property - being a main busy road and cars travelling too fast made this a difficult procedure

Great accommodation, very clean and cosy, the hosts have thought of everything. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, toiletries. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board, towels. It is like a home from home. The hosts were very accommodating and informative. Nothing was too much trouble. There's a park and ride into York, a very short drive which is handy and the buses are every 10mins. There is a bus into York nearer to the accommodation but this one is every hour. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again if we came back to the area.

This property was absolutely beautiful. A lovely private annexe separate from the main house with its own courtyard. A beautifully decorated, exceptionally clean property with a mezzanine bedroom of perfect size. The kitchen was well appointed for self-contained accommodation, lovely functional bathroom. Had a lovely local pub around the corner in Dunnington with great home cooking. Driving distance from York but far enough away to feel you were in the country.

Nothing we could fault. An excellent home away from home.

The whole package really. This is simply the best place we have stayed in the UK. Beautiful place with amazing little touches. Would recommend this to everyone

Gorgeous little well appointed self catering cottage. Close to park and ride so easy access to the city. Services such as groceries nearby in the village just a few minutes by car. Easy communication via WhatsApp.
