Debenham Lodge Margate

The house is super spacious. We were a big family and never felt cramped or on top of each other. Every bedroom has ensuite facilities. The "pub" is brilliant and perfect for celebrating. The host, Kate, was extremely friendly, she sent a text on the first night to make sure there were no issues. Would definitely recommend.

Not a negative but just to bear in mind every room has a bathroom which is brilliant, but on the ground floor the only bathroom is in the pub in the garden or in the downstairs bedroom. It didn't bother us as we were family and were happy for others to go in and out of the bedroom.

Loved the space, vibe of the house, and it was beautifully decorated and very clean. We were a mixed group of 11, there was plenty to do for all ages. Cliftonville was a nice area and good beach side walk into Margate. Kate the host was very helpful, going above and beyond when I had problems with my car. I would recommend Debenham lodge to extended families for a weekend break.

The house is amazing! We were in a group of 9 and found it ideal for us, there were spare rooms that were not even needed (about 5 spare rooms maybe?). All the bedrooms we used had their own ensuite bathroom, which is ideal when coming in a large group. The organisation of the house is perfect, it has a large living room with plenty of sofas and a huge TV as well as an inmense kitchen and dining room. Behind the house you count with a PUB that is perfect for partying and having some fun. Has several games (including a Play Station), darts and a separate bathroom. You also will find a big table with chairs (very well illuminated) and 2 barbecues for bigger groups! The property counts with self-check in, which allows you to be flexible on the arrival. We got there before the check-in time and we were very well welcomed and they let us leave our luggage in the house while we decided where to go next. We did meet Kate, the owner, who is so amazing and kind! She gave us millions of recommendations of where to go and where to have fun, super tailored to us. The house is walking distance from the coolest part of Margate, full of independent shops, small cafes, little bars and cocktail shops, restaurants and a nearby entrance to the beach (steps involved) and direct access to the mini pool section. It is also walking distance from the city centre which is lots of fun too.

Dingy dark décor, lack of clothes hanging arrangements and poor door catches.

The house was perfect for a large group - plenty of space and large social areas. Kate was very attentive before and throughout our stay.

Upscaled large victorian house with ensuite for all rooms and large kitchen and adjoining dining areas. Quirky decor and plenty of relaxing bits including a "pub "in the garden. Conveniently situated for visiting local attractions ...castles , funfair and seaside. Street parking fairly easy.We had a family of 12 plus 3 dogs and the accommodation worked really well. Everyone enjoyed the Debenham lodge...

Kate was super friendly and helpful - really appreciated the happy birthday sign outside the pub. Such a large space so great for a big group - we all managed to fit around the dining table. Kitchen was very well equipped and new fittings. Loved the rain showers in the en suite bathrooms
