The home is in a beautiful setting and the home itself is gorgeous!! The family was so welcoming. The lodge far exceeded our expectations!! A wonderful place for anyone to stay.

Das Gästezimmer mit eigenem Bad und Zugang befindet sich in einem von einer Familie bewohnten Haus. Die Gastgeberin hat uns freundlich und liebevoll empfangen und uns das Zimmer gezeigt. Bei Fragen oder Unklarheiten stand sie uns jederzeit per Handy zur Verfügung. Das Zimmer und das Bad sind sehr sauber und gepflegt, TV mit Netflix etc ist verfügbar. Parkplätze sind direkt vor dem Haus kostenfrei verfügbar.

Ohne Auto wäre die Unterkunft nur schwer bzw. gar nicht zu erreichen. Das Bett ist zwar groß, aber kein Kingsize-Bett. WiFi hat bei uns leider gar nicht funktioniert. Lage nach Kilkenny ist nicht schlecht, aber man muss 10-15 Minuten mit dem Auto fahren. Das ist aber alles meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau muss man dazu sagen! Im Grunde ist es genau das, was es sein soll, in guter Qualität!

Die Besitzer dieses traumhaften Anwesens sind super freundlich und zuvorkommend! Das Haus ist traumhaft etwas außerhalb von Kilkenny ruhig und idyllisch gelegen. Unser Zimmer war liebevoll eingerichtet und sauber. Am Morgen wurden uns von freundlichen Besitzer Kaffee und Kekse gebracht.

The property is a beautiful family home - the bed was super comfortable and the shower was great as well. The host family were also lovely!

It was a bit hard to find - GPS was not on our side getting to the location. Originally we had thought this was a BNB with multiple rooms rather than a family home when booking so we were not quite sure the “rules” and didn’t want to disrupt.

nem könnyű megtalálni - mi is bolyongunk egy kicsit - végig kell menni a mellékúton és a legutolsó birtok az. A szoba remek, ízléssel van berendezve, a vendéglátó meg végtelen szimpatikus. Bevitt minket a városba, megmutatta Kilkenyt és ajánlott pár jó helyet. Reggel pedig a szobánkba (ami egy külön lakrész) hozott kávét és süteményt. A ház és a kert gyönyörű, az egész meseszerű. Legszebb és legkedvesebb szállásunk volt Írországban

The owner who greeted us was very nice. We only saw her once upon arrival but she did share some great restaurant recommendations. The property is beautiful and quiet. The room was clean and beautifully decorated.

The booking said the bed is a king, it is not, it might be a queen. NONE of the doors had working a lock (the owner informed us when we got there). There is one door to the main house and one to the back patio. This felt very uncomfortable to say the least. There was no blow dryer to be found as the booking listed. As the owner lives in the main house with her family, there were children in and out of the yard (we were informed of this when we arrived). As people who have and work with children, this wouldn’t have been a big deal except that the youngest child ran through our room, picking up and licking our things (my cellphone for one). There’s also a cute puppy on the property who wouldn’t leave us alone when we tried to eat a light dinner on the patio (as were were told we could). The dog made it impossible to eat our meal (sticking his face in our food and jumping all over us). We ended up bringing our food inside and eating on the bed as that is the only place to sit other than one chair in the corner. The puppy followed us inside and jumped / ran all over the bed. The owners never came out to check on things as this occurred over a 15 minute time span. It was just bizarre. The location is much further from the area in town that we wanted to spend time in than we anticipated- if you stay here, count on driving and paying for parking.
