Milkwood Country House

The Host was rude,drunk and the property was not cleaned and he suggested that we leave as he had not organised anyone to assist with the room at the moment. Booking .com now is refusing to refund me until the Host confirms and I am confused because the contract was between booking.com and my self the host is the third party.

The host was not ready to host any guests rooms were not cleaned and he advised that we leave.

Calm, clean and very friendly. All you need for a relaxed stay.

It's a beautiful area

Wasn't clean, sheets were worn, cutlery and crockery was dirty. Dogs jumped on you. Full kitchen but no salt pepper or coffee & milk

Nothing at all.

Scary dogs jumping on us as we arrived and dirtying our clothes....barking by our bedroom window most of the night and leaving poop everywhere. We couldn't even reach them because of the dogs are everywhere in the yard. The pool and braai area was dirty. We slept one night and canceled the rest of the two nights, and we were not refunded as the owner ignored our messages and calls of cancelation. We still want our money refunded for the two days. We had to book elsewhere for the other two days of our vacation.

It’s spacious. Beautiful garden. Nice dogs and horses. Spacious kitchen. Peaceful and nice scenery around the yard. The kids loved it. The owners and staff are super friendly. True ubuntu 😊🙏🏾

Beautiful place to stay, we are used to living by the beach and now the farm area and seeing animals was so good to seem. It reminded why I always wanted a farm lifestyle. House was was specious and supper clean. Recommendation: If one will stay longer than 2 days, rather have extra towels instead of asking for ones. This saves time and effort on both ends.

I loved everything. My partner says he saw one of the dogs near the car and did not think much of it. Not far from the house, he had his tire flat and called his brother to assist - mind you the tires were recently replaced few days ago. He went back to tires dealer and they told him, tire has a bite mark 😂😂😂 he knew immediately it was one of the dogs. We didn't make a big deal out of it, no one sent the dog to bite the tire so we left it off. Overall the experience was nice.

The place was very quiet and secluded, perfect for a quick getaway from all the high-pace life busyness. The wifi was great and the place was spacious yet cozy. The kitchen area was extremely spacious. Enough for two people to move around without bumping into each other. The place looks great and if you're into a farm-style environment you'd really enjoy the quiet environment.

Cleanliness wasn't perfect, I picked up on a couple of stains here and there. There are cooking utensils available but if you're a very particular person I'd recommend using your own. Sliding door needs a bit of maintenance, opening needed a bit of power rather than a smooth opening and closing, but could definitely be because of the ocean air so not too big a deal. If you don't like pets then you might be hesitant. Dogs are friendly but if you're scared of dogs they might be a bit intimidating.
