The Lookout

The location was wonderful. It was secluded and there were outside amenities such as a fishing pond, fire ring, and hot tub. There was a beautiful wrap around porch giving lots of outdoor living space.

My family of 9 stayed at this property in early June. There was an issue with the air conditioning. When we attempted to turn it on and set it at a reasonable temperature, it had frozen up due to someone before us setting it too low. This resulted in water filling up the plenum on the furnace and in water escaping the utility room onto the carpeting. We did contact the owner who called someone who put a towel on the carpeting but did not take care of the water. Unfortunately, the wet carpet was right in front of the downstairs bathroom which meant that we could not utilize the downstairs bedroom. The dish washer was not fastened to the countertop as it should have been therefore causing the unit to lean forward when trying to load or unload dishes. There was no gas for the grill, so we had to go fill the tank on our own. Lastly, the toilet seat in the master bath was only held on by 1 bolt. Not good! The dining table needs a full set of 8 chairs.

I liked the privacy

I wish the hot tub was hot enough on the first night.

I loved the setting & the home... The location was great as well!

We had 7 people & only 4 spoons. The remote for the TV in the basement wasn't working - we therefore couldnt navigate on the TV. The ceiling fan light in the living room was burnt out - so it was a little dark in there. Also, we ran the dishwasher - the soap door didn't open - all of the dishes were still dirty & had to be washed by hand. There was no dish drainer to use for hand washing - and so drying by hand was necessary... And we only had one kitchen towel. It was soaked and after it dried was crusty. Mind you - None of this would be a deal-breaker for me - I would definitely come back to the property again. But, sometimes I think that probably the management company doesn't know - and this is my purpose in telling you. It's just knowledge for you - so that you can address these things

It was so relaxing

They had some demands at checkout . Make sure all dishes are washed etc .

Overall, accommodations/concept were good

The shooting game didn't work, extremely hot few ceiling fans didn't work, also few spotlights didn't come on

Overall the property was very nice and mostly clean. The location, setup and the surrounding habitat was excellent. Majority necessities were provided within the property and was well organized. Hosts were very friendly and helpful, they've provided all the info needed prior, during and after the stay.

Even though the property was in above average standards it was bit run down. It was dissapointing that the hot tub did not work properly which was one of the top 3 things I was looking forward to. Half of the jets were not working, the water and bottom of the hot tub was dirty. The grill was excessively dirty, grids and burners were in bad shape, the drip pan seemed that it was not cleaned for a long time. The pool table was unfortunately in terrible shape, there was excessive dust and dirt on the felt.
